How to install ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Press-fit Gear Ring: The gear ring is press-fitted onto the inner ring or core shaft of the wheel hub assembly. During the assembly process, hydraulic pressure is applied to combine the gear ring with the inner ring or core shaft. Sensor Installation: The sensor is either press-fitted or secured with a locknut onto the outer ring of the wheel hub assembly. The linear wheel speed sensor is primarily secured with a locknut, while the ring wheel speed sensor utilizes a press-fit. The distance between the inner surface of the permanent magnet and the gear tooth: 0.5 ± 0.15mm (ensured primarily through control of the gear ring's outer diameter, sensor's inner diameter, and concentricity). Voltage Testing: Using a custom-made professional setup, the output voltage and waveform under certain rotating speeds are measured. For linear sensors, short circuit functionality is also tested.
